Take a moment away from your cellphone to read this, dear motorist - you may soon have to pay to park near your own beach ... Blowing bubbles for the cause ... feels like the 70's again ... Rolling down through Honolulu spreading the peaceful message ... noisily ... A 'free beach access' sign makes a bid for freedom... Surfers get it of course. But the issue affects swimemrs, walkers, beachcombers - anyone who doesn't want to walk 6 miles to get to their local beach.

Whaazat? Demonstrators appealed to the public one-to-one, and often got a big smile and 'shaka' sign - as long as you were not gripping your handlebars in sheer terror or the Honolulu traffic. We got the 'shaka' sign a lot. It means the opposite to the 'finger' - we got a couple of those too. More beach access = less cars needing to drive to the beach - safer roads for bikes = less traffic = less aggro = a nicer place to live! A rally to stop land and resort owners from blocking public access points to the beaches on Hawaii.
