My knees pose outside Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, about to be scutenized by bike fit expert Andy Pruitt. Now I wish I had that advantage when I was young - I might not have always been picked last ... make that not at all ... The famous Andy Pruitt, biomechanics guru to cycling stars. I've come to the right place! Andy Pruitt, Bike Friday owner and 3D bike fit expert at Boulder Center for Sports Medicine. I've come direct from PACTOUR Arizona Camp as my jersey suggests, where Andy use to give seminars. Pardon my boy shorts! A "merchant shot"- not a cleavage shot - of my knees. According to Pruitt, my cartilege is clean, but there are slight alignment issues, which need to be addressed by aarrower stance over the bike and more supportive cycling shoes.

Avery Frazier's life story up in lights. An honors physical therapist grad, trained in bike fit by Andy Pruitt. Thank Buddha I had some kind of modest underpant on. Andy listens to the percussion section perform in my knees. Andy uses a model to show how knee tendons and joints go slip slidin' away ..

Hmmmm.... these spinning type shoes are not your future. Dang! They were so cool! (Specialized Sonomas - which don't have all the Pruitt-developed features of the more aggressive models in the range). Pruitt and I consider my knees. "I think you have understimated the seriousness of the level of cycling you do," he said. Yup, these shoes are made for walking, and therefore not great for cycling - at least with my biomechanics. Oh no, so I have to wear ugly loud cycling shoes now? Kudos from stars of podiums far and wide. Pruitt's 3D Bike Fit studio. Enough to make you feel a star in Bladerunner!
